It is highly recommended you register a name that contains your major keywords instead of your company name if your main target traffic is from Search Engine. Most of the surfer searches by subject and not by proper name when they are utilizing search engine to find a website.

Lets say if "The Best One" is your company, it is doing  website design business and you select a domain name TheBestOne.com as your company website. Instead of using company as a Domain name, I prefer to call it  BestWebsiteDesign.com as the company website.

Just guess which site will be able to attract more visitors if both websites' contents and structure are the same? Of course the site with name BestWebsiteDesign.com is having higher chances to show to surfer when they search via search engine service. Remember surfer searches by subject in the search engine? All relevant keywords like "Website Design, Best Website Design, Website and etc" will get indexed by the search engine and will show to the surfer. For TheBestOne.com is unlikely people can find it because they just don't know the existence of the company unless when it becomes a top brand like everyone got to know Coca Cola, Toyota, Sony and etc.

Is it completely wrong when you list your company name on your web pages? Not really, there are exceptional case as well.

1) Just don't register your main domain names that are too long.  Indeed, you can register names up to 63 characters long, but that doesn't mean you have to use all of the characters.
It is very wise to make your domain name easy to remember by people. Not everyone will bookmark your page at the beginning stage so try to think of something that can be easily remembered -- although I understand this may be tricky since lots of names are been taken up these days.

2) Use hyphens if your name is more than 3 words long. A name like bestforyou.com doesn't really need a hyphen because it's readable in that way.
However a name like best-website-design-in-my-country.com looks better than bestwebsitedesigninmycountry.com since there are so many words in the name. Got it?
